Some Call of Duty 6 Info Leaked?
UPDATE: Some people are reporting that this list is a hoax.

A list of features leaked by a game tester on the four two zero site.
So far this list hasn’t be confirmed or denied by IW or Activision but the list seems entirely plausible. There are definitely plenty of people who have had access to the game, so it’s about time some info leaked out.
I took the liberty of bolding the items that most interested me. Also, I’m very upset that the Scorpion is being removed, I love that damn gun.
* Vehicles will be in MW2
* M16 will return, using stopping power will only be OHK at head, neck, and torso (abdomen, limbs, and hands/feet will not)
* Ak47 and M4 will return, unknown if there are any changes
* M40 will return, ACOG damage boost will be fixed
* Scorpion, P90, M21, R700, G3, G360 will not return
* There are more unknown weapons that will not return
* New sniper rifle: SR25M (United states forces)
* New Assault rifle: Diemeco C8 (Canadian forces M4 equivelant)
* New Assault rifle: L85A2 (United Kingdom forces)
* Total weapons in multiplayer are said to be around 35
* Favourite Modern warfare 1 maps will return
* Helicopters, air strikes, UAV will return
* Red dot sightings will come in different shapes for multiplayer (circular, square, original)
* Snipers will have special grass camouflage (As seen in Modern warfare 1’s campaign)
* All perks will return from MW except eavesdrop and others will be altered
*All gametypes will return from MW and all will have hardcore versions
* New gametype: Secure (Call of duty version of capture the flag, however you capture the enemy’s Intel)
* New gametype unconfirmed name, similar to search and destroy, however instead of trying to plant a bomb, you try to kill a specified enemy
* Solider customization for each class (and each country)
* Sniper with silencers will NOT be in multiplayer
* There are NO bots in local multiplayer
* Similar version to Nazi Zombies, however details are unknown
* NO guest players online, 1 player per console
* Killcam save feature
* There is blood and gore
* Offline/Online Co-op
* Story takes place in the Middle East
* Role as US marines return
* Ken Lally voice work in campaign
* Release is set for sometime in November
* New army tags will be available to add different elements in campaign (similar to halo skulls)
* Campaign-only weapons
This October comes the challenge of Modern Warfare and Battlefield: Bad Company. Medal of Honor of Electronic Arts is being released on October 12 and it will challenge both the games for the top spot in the FPS genre.
Last week at E3 gaming event the stills and multi-player footage were released. The footage bound to bring comparison with the MW2 and BBC2.
The styles of the game is similar to the MW2 and BBC2, but MoH appears to concentrate on points and not focus on kills as MW2 does.

The SR-25 in the picture link is a version of the mk 11 mod 0. Since the R700 is being removed is it possible that the xm110 might replace it

man this cant be… almost no new perks? only 35 weapons… MW1 had about the same number….and OMG VEHICLES…. why.. now the maps will be huge and boring…. well this isnt confirmed so we will see

they need to add the steyr Aug its the grandfather of all bullpup assult rifles it just needs to be in the new game. they also need to add knights armorment’s PDW its amazing and makes the MP5 look like a sucky SMG it more accurate, more powerful, faster shooting, and overall better.

oh also the deimco C8 is just not needed its the same gun as the M4 with just some minor barrel and stock sights changes it has the exact same firing system, receiver, and trigger system (it is the same gun as the M4)

I think IW needs to do a complete overhaull in the smg class and completley remake it, also the character class customazation is gonna be sweet, and yes the FAMAS is better yet neither the AUG nor the FAMAS are in the game and the L85 is… it sucks compared to the other two

they need to remove the L85 and also the famas is 1 not as powerfull or accurate and 2 the steyr aug was the first ever bullpup so it needs to be in cod6 in the same sence that the mp44 was in cod 4

people dont worry about no second attachments being in this list, it does say only SOME lol and btw tanks did not ruin WAW they were there for the challenges so u could get to lvl 65 quicker, it was annoying tht it took like 6 shots to kill a tank, so maby if it was like 1-2-3 shots mabey deppendin were u hit it…cant waite for november =D

Eh vehicles.. Not to happy about that or the addition of the Diemeco C8 as said before its the same exact gun as an M4.
As for all of the gun they are taking out, they should allow players to use any modern weapon they want and none should be taken out.
I would like to see differant sections of our military in the campaign such as the navy seals and spec ops
The addition of the standard issue sig from the navy seals.
I agree with 1 player per console if you want to have a guest go back to HALO 3
and lastly a bipod for snipers. When youre in prone you rifle steadys however this eliminates youre first perk selection or limits youre perephial vision, running speed, and you can only aim where the bipod is setup otherwise you have to get up and reprone this way there is balance. Oh yea and scopes making something longer range is rediculous i know its abalance thing but just because i have an acog scope on my M16 makes it shoot further i mean come on
I dont agree with keeping any of the old maps everyone likes and dislike certain ones get rid of them all and bring in new ones from the new campaign.

as far as this being a hoax i unfortunately agree. Some of the information makes no sense like the addition of the Diemeco C8 and removal of gun and the return of old maps. The only 100% confirmed info is the fact that Story takes place in the Middle East (Duh), Ken Lally voice work in campaign, and Release is set for sometime in November
looking forward to MW2… Hopefully they will release a multiplayer online beta, I can only hope.

I can believe some of these as possible, but some seem unlikely to me. I would expect a lot more changes in perks. I don’t really see vehicles as happening. There have been a ton of posts on various boards with some really good ideas that don’t seem to be mentioned.
If the November release date holds up, I would think we would be getting some more real info from IW, and possibly some teaser trailers very soon, wouldn’t you think?

Vehicles in CoD WaW, kind of did ruin some of the game play, but you can kill them quickly by placing C4 under them.
Secondly they need to bring the rank back down a little; not only is getting to 65, ridiculous, but for the normal - causal gamers, it could take days to get to, not to mention a few weeks.
Thirdly the Release date is December 31st, this year; as seen on IGN.com.
It’s nice that they got rid of the instant kill, with the ACOG on the snipers, it’s just stupid.

This is probably a hoax but there some good things on there. The L85A2 should defo be in the game as its differant to the other rifles as its very accurate, and there should be an unlockable bayonet as the British forces use them on the L85A2.
Bipods should be unlockable for most Sniper rifles, but you can only move as much as with the WAW heavy machine guns with bipod.
There should be more perks but not stupid ones like WAW (who the hell uses, shades, gas mask, flak jacket etc). There should be a perk for adding 2 attachments to one gun (maybe not including noob tube) and this should be in the top blue perk slot, eg instead of claymores, 3x flash, C4, etc.
The Diemaco C8 IS just an M4 Carbine and the Diemaco C7 is just an M16 so they should have all of them or mix and match e.g M16 and C8 or C7 an M4. The C8 and C7 could also have unlockable bayonets.
Down on the D-pad (consoles) should switch guns from full auto to 3 burst, to single shot, on guns that can do that in real life.
Prestige should be at 55 again, NO VEHICLES, SMALLER MAPS, and you should be able to unlock a bad boy machine pistol like a Beretta 93R or Glock 18!
I know I just wasted time as noone will read this but still I have so many ideas I need to get out.

This list is defintiely a hoax. I hear from one source that is comes out in novemeber and then another source that is comes out 12/31/’09. This website is not reliable and i’m sure they’ll put game info online during the summer. I know they’re will be game trailers released a few months before it comes out, maybe even late summer especially at the E3 Electronic Entertainment Expo so be patient people.

Hey guys, i am a very frequent COD 4 gamer as many people may know, and i have some information that may interest you, I myself am a professional engineer but my friend, Mike took the path of video game design, he is a developer for IW. We both live near the IW headquarters, in Encino, California and i managed to get some information from Mike and some of his co-workers, so here is what I received.
Prestige levels WILL be rewarded.
-Special selection of perks, Purple perk category if i am correct, that will let you select a perk that has been unlocked from a specific level of prestige. (When you hit prestige #3, you get X perk.)
-Vehicles WILL be included in Modern Warfare 2.
-As i said before, prestige will be awarded. Rocket launchers will not be a perk anymore, but when you join a session with vehicles available, (Most likely large or relatively rural maps) you will get a rocket launcher as you right d-pad button. (left is explosive, if added, middle is night vision right will be rocket launcher)
- Your rocket launcher will improve with prestige. Mike told me that non prestige will receive a WW2 bazooka, and when i asked him if RPG will be thrown in there, he boldly said 6. (hoping that means 6th prestige) Also mentioned that 10th prestige will be a lock- on rocket launcher seen in modern warfare, not mentioning which. Lets pray that it is the javelin, or at least a stinger.

I dont mind some of the things on this list, but vehicles seem a bit extreme in my opinion.
it is probably a hoax, but most of the things are actually fine on this list. Now, i dont want silenced snipers or two attachments for that matter, because of the pure overpoweredness(LOL).
Think about it, in hardcore, players will NEVER know where a sniper is, unless they have UAV up, in which UAV jammer comes in play. So in hardcore, you are going to have a ghost sniper that kills one shot. do you really want that? and even in regular it will be a problem. Since silencers can not be fitted on bold-action sniper rifles, it will be on the weak semi-automatics, meaning that they can repeatedly fire shots, with low recoil (if it is like the M21, and you dont know shit about it.
Two attachments, also hilariously overpowered, since if you fit an ACOG scope with a silencer on an assault rifle, you have the best weapon in the game. You can fire short-long ranges with no one hearing you. Plus imagine how much shit people are going to be talking about the M16 with ACOG and Silencer. The only way i can imagine this happening, is if you have to forfeit a red perk (hence getting rid of stopping power) if you wish to have two attachments.

well i’m excited to see its a modern warfare rather than going back in time again to ww2. one thing that i would like to see and i even believe it would push people more, would be to add more things that you will get for a kill streak. i think it would be neat to see after 3 kills u get a uav still, 5 kills gets u artilary, 7 kills gets u the carpet bomb, 9 kills gets you the dogs, 12 gets you the helicopter gunship, and if you get a larger amount of kills such as 16 forsay then you get the ac-130gunship( death From Above) but instead of it being AI you get to control it for 30 secs. It doesn’t even have to be exactly like i’m asking, just something along the lines of what i layed out here, the way i see it you could even be in the gunner seat in the cobra helicopter when you get it, because if they make it to where you are the one controling the helicopter and the plane there will more thatn likely be a little less killing going on because you actually have to aim it and its not just the computer AI doing it, on the other hand you have more perks for your killstreak or what not.

I agree with extra perk slots for people togo prestige but not anything that increases your advantage in the game. Then whoever plays the most will always be the best not who is truly better. Guys, I’m pretty sure a lot of this is BS considering the game is nowhere near being finished. It won’t be out until the end of the year, so even if the list is genuine, things will be fixed between now and release.
To the people complaining about no new perks, I suggest you re-read the post. It makes no statement that no new perks are returning; it simply states that all existing perks will return except for Eavesdrop.
Honestly, I think this list is a hoax only because it’s a list full of stuff we already know about or stuff that’s been suggested by other fans. And why does it sound like World at War, but in Modern Warfare? Zombies equivalent? Vehicles? Guys, I hope you remember that Call of Duty 3 did have vehicles as well and Infinity Ward did not follow suit in the original Modern Warfare.
Vehicles seems to be a purely Treyarch thing as I see it now, and while tanks don’t break World at War, I certainly feel like the maps are too expansive because of them. Outskirts and Seelow are automatic skips for me simply because most matches last the full 10 minutes. Infinity Ward cares about its fanbase. They know what we want, and I think it’s strange for them to just ignore all of that while developing a WaW clone.
Sorry, I just don’t believe it. Hopefully information on CoD6 will be released at GDC 2009 this month.

First off this list around the net has been confirmed false by fourzerotwo the lead on cod6 mw2. As for my opinions on the game they still stand. I think they should keep all the guns. In a modern era (not ww2) you can use any gun you want and can get any gun you want. Taking out guns is stupid. Using old maps is also a bad idea everyone likes differant maps and therfore will never stop bitchin if they dont keep certain ones. ALL NEW MAPS PLEASE. I dont care if there are vehicles or not as long as they are balanced.

as for taking out martydom juggernaught nube tubes m16’s or anything else you die from too much they souldnt just because you suck. Itll become halo. People bitched about having maulers at the top of the lifts on construct so they took them out. THATS BULL They use grenade laynchers in real life. Everyone has access to these features in the game and probably use them too. I dont agree with having the grenade launcher at the start. I think you should have to unlock it at 50 kills and the red dot at 25 silencer at 75 and acog at 100 or 150. In cod5 the tanks only sucked if a whole team had all the tanks. The tanks are actually balanced farely well if you check the real cod5 weapon stats youd know that the tank has a 1.0x dmg multiplyer in the front. a 1.5 on the sides. and a 2.0x dmg multiplier on the back part. stickynades take out half of the tanks health if you hit the tank the in back or underneath. The game says that sticky’s work bad against normal players. But they are lieing. A stickynade only has a 3 or so foot less kill radius. If you equip sticky nades on all the classes you use on maps that have tanks then youll be good. Hit it in the back and then let your tanks or team do the rest.

I think it would be very interesting if IW would do just two simple things. First and foremost-cover- in all of the cod series there is no real cover if you are behind something part of your head (a easy shot for a half competent sniper I might add) is always poking out screaming shoot me please.
The other thing that I believe would be a nice improvement would to be the addition of a perk to have more than 1 applicable attachment, say an M4 with a silencer and a red dot. This I believe would add a brand new approach to the gun customization. Also Vehicles can be added to the game, just remove the respawns that happened, in WaW in the time it takes to kill a tank another respawns, should turn respawns off. I cant fucking wait until this game comes out.

I did believe it untill I saw the “release somtime in november” When we already know it’s being released 11.10.09! LOL. Although the fact that they are taking those guns away is believable, those guns are old and for a gamer they’re not very fun to use, but if this was legit why hasn’t it said anything about the MP44, surely that has to be removed? I don’t think the canadian gun will be used. Also I hope they let us have more british guns, it’s good that they will include this. And as for the guys who are saying no to vehicles, it’s not tanks. It can’t be, for so many reasons. Let alone it would be almost impossible to blow them up with grenades. I think the changes will be much different to the ones posted by whoever made this. Can’t wait for a BETA! CoD MW2 FTW guys!

To the people reading this list of intel, most of the intel IS true, apart from that when you get a 10 kill streak, 15 soliders of what ever force you are will aid you in your battle, they will be equipped with a Assault rifle, side arm and a random selection of RPG’s, C4’s or CLAYMORE’s. UAV, airstrike’s and helecopter’s will be returning with out a doupt.

I agree with leatch with 1 exception. You can’t do shit when someone uses a P90/Stopping power combo. Well, you can, but it’s frustrating as hell.
Anyway, IW better not take away my G3. I wouldn’t mind losing the P90, though.

Wow, perhaps we should put the disk on blu-ray that xbox doesnt support too? you all want all this sh** on the game like all the old guns and more new ones? accept it the G3 and P90 and pretty much any of the Semi-auto sniper rifles are the most supreme noob weapons there are in the entire game…it takes NO skill to use a scoped weapon zoom in and pull the trigger and waste the entire clip to get ONE hit, and for those of you that bit** about the Noob tube, youre probably the person or persons that lay in a corner with a fully automatic weapon and wait for people to run by aren’t you? or perhaps u think using an RPG is an acceptable medium? either way, EVERYONE uses something that someone else is going to whine about get used to it. if you use some common da** sense its not hard to hear a martyr hit the ground or avoid someone in last stand….unless your retarded enuff to stand in the middle of the map with that sniper u think you know how to use. First of all, if any of you researched any of this it was announced by fourzerotwo that this information is all false. This was announced several months ago. Yes, vehicles will be in MW2, the weapons and perk info has not been released at this time. It is true that there will be more variety when it comes down to Kill Steaks, different rewards and different orders of these rewards. Silenced snipers will more than likely be available.
