MW2 on Wii. Is it a rumour?
It has been quite common for the Call of Duty games to get being released on Nintendo’s Wii platform. But there an exception for Modern Warfare… and odd exception too. It left something of a hole between Call of Duty 3 and World at War.
Of late It seems that Modern Warfare 2 may continue this trend of Call of Duty on Nintendo Wii. It was announced that the MW2 will only be releasing on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 games platforms. However, Amazon.co.uk seems show otherwise. It has listed a version of the title for the Wii hardware as well. It may be an interesting news for the fans of MW2.
Of course… but, the reality is as under.
It may be an error on the UK branch of Amazon’s part because they are the only one that seems to show the title, in addition to the fact that they still show the “Call of Duty” name attached, which the sequel has dropped.
Meanwhile it is well known that Activision sometimes tends to release its games on many platforms and as many as there may be the possibilities.
Well! Let us all wait for the release and see where this goes.
This October comes the challenge of Modern Warfare and Battlefield: Bad Company. Medal of Honor of Electronic Arts is being released on October 12 and it will challenge both the games for the top spot in the FPS genre.
Last week at E3 gaming event the stills and multi-player footage were released. The footage bound to bring comparison with the MW2 and BBC2.
The styles of the game is similar to the MW2 and BBC2, but MoH appears to concentrate on points and not focus on kills as MW2 does.

You guys just don’t get how fun cod can be for a person on the wii. Right now cod waw is one of the best wii fps games out. When your good at a game or think its fun. Graphics don’t matter. The hardware could be better. Nintendo has spent around 300mill on r&d for there newest products. Also nintendo out sold the xbox in the latest dsi and it gas yet to be out for a year yet. Well on gamespot.com CoD 6/MW2 has been confirmed on Wii.
And it CoD 5 on wii sold a LOT since wii is the number one console.
So it would make sense if mw2 was on wii after all it would only boost profits to Activision, Infinity Ward, and Treyarch.

Hey. here is a new game on wii. now Im not sure which game it represents becaue on the ninendo websie, I went to show all wii games. Then I saw on the 10th there is a call of duty, but the second line was cut off and was black. The 3rd line said reflix. Can anyone check this out.

Infinity Ward should make Modern Warfare 2 for the Wii ground up. Infinity Ward isn’t doing anything now and doesn’t have any plans yet. Modern Warfare 2 on wii wouldn’t suck, and if you think it would you either
a) Don’t have Call of Duty 4 or 5 for Wii.
b) You suck at Call of Duty on wii and blame the game.
c) You don’t dave a wii.
d) Can’t understand the simple controls.
f) Have both Call of Duty 4 and 5 but don’t play them because you have the Playstation 3 or XBOX 360

On wii, MW2 would be better than the original controls. I really don’t care for graphics as much, but i’m sure they would be great. MWR was great in graphics. I think if Treyarch (or Infity ward, maybe)made MW2 for wii they should also pay attention to COD7 on wii. I’m sick of the wii being a game behind. but overall, it would be cool.

DUDE!!! cod 4, 5 are AMAZING ON WII. mwr w@w are really good games, mwr has better graphics between cod 5 and 4. infinity ward has to announce mw2 on wii. its the only console i have. i hate ps3 and xbox sucks. some blogs abouts activision says they’ve announced mw2 only on xbox and ps3. that’s bullshit. call of duty is the best shooter i ever played. i have cod4 on wii. it sucks. i barely use my wii unlesss its for my super mario games. cod is better left off in the big boy consoles the 360 and the ps3.wii cannot be taken seriously due to the fact that they dont advertise as well as microsooft and sony does.graphics arec like ps2 graphics for the wii. thec online sucks and theonly reason people get it because it costs 200 bucks..seriously its kind of gay. cod revolved around 360 because it made the most profit in the last quarter. 360 improved its dashboard,netflix,nuze,lastfm,shop for your AVATARS even get to play on 1vs100 and win microsoft points. 360 is just sittin on money right now

I disagree, I think the Wii can compete with the Xbox and PS3. First, the Wii really doesn’t have that bad of graphics. It just doesn’t have outstanding graphics, like the PS3. The user interface is not conventional, but it is much easier. In my opinion, point and click is much easier then dual axis controls and a right trigger. Its super simple! The wii has potential to run the most hardcore games, just in a different way. Just look at Modern Warfare: Reflex. Its a solid game, exact features as the Xbox/PS3 version and has a huge user base. People were waiting for Modern Warfare and WaW to come out, and it was a huge seller. Many people that owned a “stick controller” console picked up Reflex when they bought MW2. It would be fooilish of Activision not to put MW2 on Wii. Its what the Wii users want!
I don’t care if they outsource to Treyarch or somone else again, its still going to be a hit.

I rang up and asked will COD 6 be coming out on the wii and what he said was that the wii got COD 4 when COD 6 came out on the Xbox and and stuff so he said that the wii would probably get COD 6 when the others get COD 7. F*** X-Box and PS3, Wii Controls are way better and and take more skill 2 use. I play MWR on wii Domination and get like 90 to 110 kills a match. So far I have yet to see an X-BOX or PS3 player do that in MW2, and yes, you Microsoft and Sony players would not be able to get that many kills if your life depended on it in one match, O yeah, and i did it without helicopters-Airstrikes or any of that BS. And if there was MW2 on Wii, I would have gotten a tac-NUKE like 3 times in one match if it was possible, which proves wii players are more skilled and deserve this game.
(When life comes throwin punches……………….Knock it the F*** OUT!!!)

for anyone who thinks MWR sucks on Wii, you have to be joking. FPS games are way more fun on Wii than on Xbox or PS3… FPS games in general are screaming for a control scheme like the Wii uses… seriously, there is nothing more satisfying than customizing the controls on the Wii zapper and then gunning people down… it’s like actually holding an M16… far more fun than twisting control knobs and mashing buttons… when Xbox or PS3 puts out a motion controller, then maybe i’ll buy one just so I can play MW2, but until then, PLEASE make MW2 for Wii!!!! Otherwise I may have to start visiting actual shooting ranges… also, i’ve heard the next Wii will be able to play DVD’s and handle hi-def graphics (thank god!).

Modern Warefare: Reflex for wii is one of the greatest games [next to SSBB] that i have ever played. With the exception of mediocre graphics and no voice chat, this is an awesome title for this console. Despite the fact that it steps out of Nintendo’s usual family-fun games, it sold to many of the teen-aged wii lovers [like myself] and all who played it became hooked on it despite its graphics or any other flaw. I agree that MW2 should be released on wii. [voice chat would be nice :D]

Wii pwns MW2 on it PWNS. Wii has potential to run awesome graphics maybe a bit lower than the PS3 but still good graphics. And plus your just a couch potato if you play with controllers. I think that if Modern Warfare 2 should come to Wii. After all it already has Modern Warfare: Reflex Edition. If you start something finish it. Some people, me included like Modern Warfare but only have a Wii, I do not have a PS3 or 360 and Infinity Ward acts like they don’t care about Nintendo. Same with Treyarch, it might just be an Activision thing but World at War is only good because of Nazi Zombies! However they “forgot” to add this to the Wii version. I mean what the heck! Call of Duty: World at War sucks, they fail to realize that people want entertaining, epic, modern games. There are even rumors about Black Ops having Zombies. Its like they have to over use everything decent they can come up with, and thats basically the only good iPhone, which is fun. Its like they make the good stuff for 360 and PS3 then spin a wheel to see what they should leave out of the other versions. Whats worse every place on that wheel says______ and effort. Its like they don’t care if the other versions suck. Hopefully Nintendo will come out with a modified GameCube style system with the release of the XBox 720.

After writing the first part of my comment I read that people are saying that you can’t control the Wii very well, the graphics suck, ect. Well those people are retards, really. Everyone knows, or should know, that you can’t compare the Wii to the PS3 and 360. They are totally different. The 360 and PS3 are for fat people who sit on there cheap couch all day playing COD and eating chips. The Wii is a family console, it brings people closer together, unlike the other consoles who bring people farther apart. Just think ten years ago when 10 year old kids played with their friends XBox Live or Play Station Network were not envolved.

Why not just update cod reflex on wii to be more up to date with the other platforms so all wii users have to do is download new patch through wii to play online’ otherwise they should just bring out the newer freakin game already geez

Unless a totally different company makes a clone, it’s not gonna come out any time soon with the Activision/IW battle going on right now. Neither one has complete rights to the game, so they can’t outsource, and IW is basically screwed.

I got a wii instead of another console because I am terrible at joystick control. Dont say shit about the wii. yes there are not as many options but for people like me it makes it so much easier to play. On the wii if you are a hacker you cant be stopped. that is so awesome.

@ iLuciano PoS? Wii is kick ass! If you get the realistic gun controllers, it even makes mw1 look good! It may have less games than xbox 360, ps3, and psp, but it’s easier to to aim than xbox 360, ps3, and psp. If you think about it…. everything is a lot easier to do on Wii! On xbox 360 you have to stress your self out by turning, aiming, walking, and pulling the trigger.

With the Wii version you are actually holding the Damn remote up…so it kind of feels like its real when you react…..makes for much more entertaining gameplay….i don’t care what anyone says…i have played all the rest of the platforms…and I prefer the Wii over all..It really beats the hell out of just playing with a stupid X-box or playstation remotes when your using your thumbs all day….how fun

I agree, I love WaW on Wii, it requires skill unlike the fat lazy 10 years olds who play on xbox360. I’m planning on getting Cod Reflex for Wii this month, because I’ve heard it kicks ass, but I seriously hope that MW2 is coming to the Wii, because I know Cod7 will be.

I found it to be quite hilarious ready some of the earlier comments left by the 8 year old Xbox-360 noobs who have no true skill when it comes to online gaming. I also found it annoying how many of the xbox and PS3 players think that Wii is only for young children. That is not true at all, I’d say that the majority of us that play Call Of Duty on Wii are in the teens or higher at least. Wii is also, not only for family-friendly games like Mario Kart or Wii Sports, but many of us more mature Wii owners perfer to play games such as Call of Duty Waw and Cod MW: Reflex on the Wii, because of the unique gameplay style that Wii offers, rather than being a controller-using couch potatoe. Thus, I must agree MW2 would be a great addition to the Wii because like I said, many of us Wii players are not children, but older teens who would rather play on Wii, and I think it would sell just as well, if not better than the other CODs that were released for the Wii.

YES YES YES YES!!! ty guys so much. finally someone who agrees with me. i hav cod4 for the wii and i hav prestiged 4 times. it is a phenomenal game mike and u will love it, i guarantee it. and i totally agree with u george, not everybody who plays the wii is a little kid. in fact theres a lot of older guys (20yrs+) who play mw on wii. and quite frankly the fact that their releasing cod:black ops for wii shows that the wii could kick xbox’s and ps3’s ass. and i also agree with Al Deezy, pointing the remote at the tv and actually pointing the gun urself rather than using a old fashioned controller is sooooo much more entertaining and takes alot more skill. i for one can attest to that bcuz when i play cod4 on my wii, it takes alot to do wht i do.

mw reflex is awesome and the graphics arent perfect but who gives because darth bane is right pointing and shooting make me want to take a $hit on a x box or ps3 controller and if mw2 dosent come out on wii there are other fps games on wii and frankly they are all awesome so x box and ps3 can suck my 8=========D !!!

once you get the hang of it cod for the wii is a really great game with more realistic movements and I have played cod6 on xbox and i believe if you combine the 2 one it would be an awesome game and 2 would bring more people into the the game of cod and infintiy ward

i hav watched videos of mw2 on xbox and ps3 and now i know wht they mean by suckish graphics. bcuz on the xbox particularly if u pointed a gun at a guy while they were moving sideways u killed him. that doesnt happen on the wii. HOWEVER, i love the wii alot more and like i’ve said the wii takes more skill to play even tho the graphics arent as good as xbox or ps3. but honestly i’ve gotten used to the wii and the wii’s graphics and who really givs a damn about graphics. for me its just so that it works and i hav fun.

for real guys wii dosent suck. you bastards are still stuck in the joystick era. besides microsoft and sony have been trying for years to do what nintendo did in half the time. and I would rather point and shoot. (like in real life) plus some people like to play great non-gore games which nintendo is so good at making, plus there are likely less modders. thats right all you fuckin modders suck, you suck so bad you have to get free kills and special controllers to play cause you suck…bad…anyway the whole point of nintendo is to have fun for less. I bought SMG2 at game stop the day it was out for $50. a new game for Xbox is sometimes over $70 and it last short.

ILL DECIDE THIS. i have had a 360 (red ring, rip) i have a wii and have more recently obtained a ps3. my true honest opinion is that the nintendo wii provides by far the most entertaing cod experience. it’s just plain more fun. ive noticed the multiplayer gameplay in the wii isnt plagued by hordes of camping noobtubers with heartbeat sensors on thier scar-h. fuck them. the battles on the wii are more intense and more about skill than luck. so yeh i agree ps3 SHOULD be the better system but im goin with the wii.
