Modern Warfare 2 has its own identity
The industry analysts and Activision has become confident about Modern Warfare 2. They have already predicted recently that this sequence will become the largest selling game in 2009. Now the also comes through sources that Activision is now going to pull out all of the stops in promoting the release of Modern Warfare 2.
It is learned that the entire promotion campaign is still in the final planning stages. Activision has plans to start aggressive marketing from August. The main reason to this is to get pre-order of the title before November 10. It has been also learned that many rewards and incentives will be offered to get gamers to plunk down their deposit for the game.
Modern Warfare 1 sold over 13 million units on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. For the second sequence it is being believed that it will be in fact sold based on the name alone.
One thing is to be noted that though there were too many voices coming from gamers as to why the name of CoD has been withdrawn from MW2. But now it seems that Modern Warfare 2 has also made its own identity.
Electronic Arts (EA) been throwing punches at Modern Warfare 2 for sometime claiming that the new Battlefield: Bad Company from the DICE studio would have dedicated servers for the PC gamers. It will be valuing the importance of PC gameplay and also customization of it.
Jens Uwe, headmaster of the European division of EA, said in an interview on Friday, “In March we will launch Battlefield: Bad Company 2, which is our first strong attack on Call Of Duty… The shooter space is one we don’t want to give up. It’s an important genre and we were the number one. So we are certainly working on how we can get that crown back and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is an important product in that context.”
One who has played first Bad Company as well as the Modern Warfare titles may be knowing well that the games are very different in style and also in gunplay. We may also have found out that DICE is on the way of making some changes in it such as making the enemies more easier to kill to fall in line.

its a good thing that CoD was removed from the name. now they’re the only ones that have the title (as before both IW and treyarch had the CoD title) and they can distinguish themselves from treyarch
but hey, does anyone know about what theyll be adding to the collectors edition? ive alrdy preordered my collectors edition and i want to know what theyll be adding. from wat ive heard they b adding 3 guns, but im not exactly sure if thats accurate

It’s proably not accurate at all, IW has released no info on the collectors edition yet. My guess in when you can find out is whenever they release some info on the multiplayer.

Character models look immense detail wise. Overall it’s a level above the original, which is nothing to scoff at. So long as IW give us some proper physics and dynamic death animations I’ll be happy. Oh, and I’ve noticed a trend in the running animation of the series. It seems to not really have changed at all since the very first game. For some reason, the soliders run as if they’ve shit themselves, and this is the only way I can describe it.
