Halo: Reach will have massive beta, not like MW2
It is tough to say and also no one is saying that Halo: Reach will be better than Modern Warfare 2, but here is a reason for saying it, if anyone says. What it is believed that the Halo: Reach game will not be suffering the same pitfalls that has made MW2 almost non-playable. The main reason is that Halo: Reach will be a better gaming experience, if not a better game.

When the first MW was about to be launched, IW released a huge public beta. Everywhere gamers instantly fell in love with the game.
After this, in the sequence, IW decided that MW2 did not need any beta testing by the average gamer.
We can’t say that a beta would have prevented what we are seeing of MW2 today, but we can at least say that there was no beta and there is lots of problems.
Conclude yourself. Halo: Reach is going to have massive beta testing, for both single player as well as for multiplayer modes.
Mass Effect 2 inspired by Modern Warfare 2
Mass Effect 2 will be releasing on January 26 by BioWare and Electronic Arts in North America and after just 3 days of its release there, it will be hitting the Europe market on the Xbox 360 from Microsoft and on the PC.

The developer and its team points out quickly that the next game in the trilogy will be fixing up all the error that was wrong with the previous release such as the planetary exploration phase and also the inventory.
Now it seems, after watching the creation of such element of the new Mass Effect, that the team has drawn couple of inspirations from Modern Warfare 2, though publisher Activision and Infinity Ward is a rival to them.
Producer of BioWare Adrien Cho told to the media, “Look at Modern Warfare 2 – it looks great on the shooting side. Why not incorporate some of the mechanics of that with the RPG elements of our games?”
Adrien Cho have the believe that the lines that separates at present the videogame genres will be more blurred. He added further, “I see the hybridisation going further. Not just RPG games using features from other genres but the other way round too. So many games now have RPG features such as personalisation, customisation and XP.”

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was the biggest entertainment release in the history of video game industry and Avatar movie has steadily pulled in millions per week.
Now it seems that games and movies both compete with each other for audiences’ attention and also for entertainment dollars.
We have seen that the release of GTA IV and Halo 3 led to a decline in theater attendance because millions of gamers stayed at home. The release of MW2 outpaced that of any Harry Potter book and also any movie in the history of entertainment industry in terms of sales in one week.
With the mark of 1billion sales of MW2 and Avatar each, it is nowhere evident of competing films and games.
Avatar is a stunning experience and it is also the second-highest grossing film in the history. Modern Warfare 2 topped the sales of the year NPD report revealed, though it was just released two months ago.
Record breaking December sale
HE month of December last year witness as the best sales month yet for video games. The top seller of the season, Modern Warfare 2, reached a sale figure of $1 billion. Not to forget that the game was released on November 10.

Compared to the December of 2008, the game console sales rose 4 percent. According to the data revealed, Nintendo dominated console sales by selling 3.81 million Wiis and 3.31 million DSes. In the PlayStation 3 it was sold just 1.36 million units and the Xbox 360 is at 1.31 million.
Within five days of its launch, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 moved 2.75 million copies on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. When this figure is assuming then the sales of Modern Warfare 2 didn’t make up the difference.
The best part of all these to know is that the gaming industry didn’t fare as well overall in 2009 as it did in 2008. Experts say that the recession period may also have made things a little rough in 2009. It is understood that the gamers are feeling more confident.
Electronic Arts attacks MW2
Electronic Arts (EA) been throwing punches at Modern Warfare 2 for sometime claiming that the new Battlefield: Bad Company from the DICE studio would have dedicated servers for the PC gamers. It will be valuing the importance of PC gameplay and also customization of it.

Jens Uwe, headmaster of the European division of EA, said in an interview on Friday, “In March we will launch Battlefield: Bad Company 2, which is our first strong attack on Call Of Duty… The shooter space is one we don’t want to give up. It’s an important genre and we were the number one. So we are certainly working on how we can get that crown back and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is an important product in that context.”
One who has played first Bad Company as well as the Modern Warfare titles may be knowing well that the games are very different in style and also in gunplay. We may also have found out that DICE is on the way of making some changes in it such as making the enemies more easier to kill to fall in line.

Modern Warfare 2 still tops UK chart
Even after two months of its release, Modern Warfare 2 is reigning supreme. It is not like other videogames that comes and goes. For it it is impossible to budge from the top spot in the UK videogaming chart.

Some are in a view that the launch of Mass Effect 2, space-based RPG from BioWare and Electronic Arts, might take down MW2. Let us wait and see whether the forthcoming games can or cannot bring down the top position of MW2.
In the United Kingdom videogaming chart the second spot is crowned to Assassin’s Creed 2 from Ubisoft. This is one of the games which maintained its launching date in the face of behemoth, but it has been rewarded with the second position.
In the chart, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games from SEGA is benefiting because of the arrival of Olympic events in real world. Wii Fit Plus has also gained and is now five against the earlier position of six.
The down sliding is FIFA 10 from EA Sports. It was on second position earlier but now it is in the fifth place. Just Dance has also gone down from fifth to seventh place.
