PERK ALERT!
« on: July 08, 2010, 09:42:23 AM »
After an exclusive interview with Treyarch, it has been comfirmed that the perks Commando and One Man Army will NOT be returning in Black Ops.

In other news, Create-a-class 2.0 will feature appearance customization.

I think that One Man Army should return, just not replenish nOOb Tubes. I love that perk for Search and Destroy. My favorite actually.

M203s are realistic and used in modern warfare combat.  One Man Army is not realistc.  Actually I don't really give a crap about one man army either but people need to stop complaining about M203s.  All of the COD versions have had "noobtubes" in one way or another.  Real soldiers use them.  I highly doubt many soldiers suddenly change their clothes, throw out their weapons and suddenly come up with a whole new pack of weapons in the middle of a battle.  I do believe in picking up weapons from dead soldiers and enemy combatants or even using the perk in COD4 that allowed you to carry 2 primary weapons.  What was that Bandolier?  I can't remember.  Anyway, "noobtubes" are not hard to counter and are virtually useless in close combat as they should be.

I do believe Commando needs to go away.  Tactical knife needs to go away and throwing the knife needs to go away.  You should have to work a little harder to stab someone...such as sneaking up on them, for example...not running through a hail of bullets to do it.  I would like to see akimbo go away too.  This is supposed to be modern warfare not a drug shootout in LA or something.  And for God's sakes they need to forget riot shields ever existed.  Police riot shields can't take a direct hit from and RPG or M203 like nothing ever happened.  They can't walk directly at a sentry gun.  They act like the things are made out of kryptonite or something in MW2.  I really don't care about anything else.  Actually I would like to see them lower the health a bit.  It shouldn't take 50 bullets to kill someone with a machine gun.

That would be overkill. I never minded anyone using that either because their second perk (the most important one) was used up. I mean, sure, you could still do well with a R700 and and MP5 but without perks like stopping power or double tap they were a pain to use. Anyway that's a different game all together. Back to the subject of double tap, I would love to see that return. It was one of my favourites. As too was bomb squad as a first perk. I think it should go something like this, Perk 1: visible options, Perk 2: Offensive and Defensive power, Perk 3: other things like sleight of hand, bandolier etc. I can't define them so I'll just say others.

Well this is really nice game but at the same time little puzzle type so you have to use your mind to complete the stage. So the game is the mixture of the war and the Logic, the game is not easy as it seems so you have to be careful to play that.
