Is it when you have to buy new maps to play certain play lists? If it is I HATE that. I hope it doesn't turn into Halo 3 where every time you have something new realeased you need to pay more to enjoy the normal playlists.

I'm not trying to be an ass when i say this, but who cares if you have to pay for it. Console players have had to pay for DLC for a looooong time. I know in the PC world you don't have to, but it just shows how snobby you guys can get.

Your wrong in two ways:

1) Console players have only had to pay for DLC for a short time, seeing as DLC for consoles didn't exist since recently.

2) PC players have never had to pay for DLC, and its been that way for a long time.

Also, how is he being snobby? Your the one telling him to buy things.

most pc people in general come off snobby if you ask me. i honestly don't care about paying for DLC. they took the time to make the maps and whatever else they come out with, why should we not have to pay? Would you not want to get paid for something you did/

Did they not just make millions of dollars from the game alone? The original point of DLC was to keep people interested in your game and to keep game sales up. It was only until Microsoft came that people started to charge for DLC.

And to answer your question, I'd rather my customer be happy than me make money. Because if they're happy then I'll make more money anyways when they recommend me to other people. It's a win win, and everyone's happy including me.

so lets say you design something, and eventually come with upgrades for it. would you let the upgrades go for free even though you spent time and money into it?

DLC isn't an upgrade, its an addition. An upgrade is what the sequel to the game is.

EDIT: 500th post! ;D

Let's clarify a couple things.  Dude I am the last guy in the world that's snobby.  I can sit down with ya and drink a beer and fire one up (if your of age of course)  I drive a druck for a living and have a cache of weapons that would make a militia puke.  I have been a PC gamer since Doom was on floppy and got a nut when the first voodoo card came out.

DLC is a recent beast invented by Micro$oft to suck even more money out of people.  The game you see before you was developed by modders who play on the "PC"  Did IW pay these guys for the content they stole?  I have no problem paying for something.  I have a vid card that cost more then an Xbox.  These assclowns steal content from modders, put out a new game, remove everything we had in the PC community and then want to charge us for something modders do normally.  Do you see where I am going with this?

I didn't like the Cod4 DLC, but I trust IW has improved on that aspect this time around.

As long as they keep their word and bring back at least one Cod4 map, definitely. This game will just be better with more maps. Being a console player, I don't have a problem paying for DLC. Valuable resources went into making it, and they sure as hell deserve to get a return on their investment.

I heard a rumor that they are also going to attempt to add 2 new weapons to each weapon set (ex: assualt rifles, Light Machine Gunes), and if this is true, they better not f the game up with some weapon that is going to be some overused smg with a quick fire rate that kills in one bullet (exageration).  Also I have heard a rumor that trayarch is teaming up with infinity ward to make the new maps.  In which case, i WILL pay money for good quality stuff.
