Vacant & Strike:

Vacant and Strike are basically the re-makes of Call of Duty 4. Both have been improved with lighting effects, morning sun in Vacant and beaming light in Strike. Moreover, amount of objects in Strike have been multiplied such as litter, chunks of concrete etc.

In Vacant the grassy areas have been improved. Flowers growing from the ground is also seen in it.

Fuel

This map is packed with big, white oil tanks also destroyed lorries and cars and most of them are on fire. It is little complicated map. So, gamers really need to concentrate on it.

Trailer Park

This map has twists and turns everywhere and it requires a team work to win. It is most defiantly a confusing map, but it is great to keep players thinking on every turn they make.

Carnival

It is exactly a carnival, which has everything such as merry-go-rounds, roller-coaster track etc. It is a detailed map and is pretty simple. It is in fact a long vertical line with number of obstacles. The colors, the rides, graffiti and everything in this map is adorable.

Is Resurgence Pack worth $15

Posted by herald On June - 13 - 2010

The Resurgence Pack seems lot similar to its predecessor. Out of five maps, three are brand new and so for $15 it is pretty hefty.

It seems that the selection of the pack feels more interesting than the first piece of downloadable content of the game.

The two old maps are from the 2007’s Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

Well, the uniqueness of each map is more intriguing such as the one highlighted by Carnival or a multiplayer fun house that is set in an abandoned amusement park.

As a whole, the Resurgence Pack gets the edge over Stimulus Package. The main credit goes to a more diverse set of environments.

One question. Is it still worth $15?

It may be if gamers are still intensely devoted to the multiplayer madness of Modern Warfare 2.

Fresh gameplay footage

The new technology of MW2 also makes it for bigger levels than it was available before. This game will be set apart from Call of Duty 4 by its levels such as mountains, slums, “underwater scuba based levels” and also castle settings.

MW2 will be a big hit as the other CoD series

Posted by herald On June - 13 - 2009

It is an open fact that the biggest title in 2007 as well as in 2008 were Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: World at War respectively. This is also evident because till today both the games are played too much, especially the 2007 hit CoD4: Modern Warfare.

It is also expected same or even more from the Modern Warfare 2 that is going to be unveiled on November 10 this year. According to the published article, MW2 will be set several years after its predecessor. In this sequel, again the political instability inside a fictional near-future Russia will be threatening the world. The thread will now be in the form of a terrorist organization. One hero, out of two, Sergeant “Soap” MacTavish, has been promoted to captain in the Special Air Services (SAS), Britain’s equivalent of the US Navy SEALs. MacTavisis a part of a new commando unit and will be guiding the players through a series of grueling missions which will even include an ice-climbing infiltration of a frozen Russian army base.

MW2 will be addressing the issue of infinitely spawning enemies. It will also be boasting new “Special Forces” mode that is quite similar to the Mile High Club and the airplane-hijack level. More to this the cooperative campaign is MIA in Modern Warfare 2, which is hoped by many gamers.

Decided to try and learn to use sniper rifle in COD4

Posted by admin On May - 12 - 2009

So yea, I have been playing COD4 forever and never really got into sniping. Sometimes when I’m really bored and lazy I’ll go camp in a TDM and pick off noobs but it gets boring pretty quick.

I know there is some sort of method to sniping in COD4 where you have to move or jerk right before or after you take your shot, I’m sort of getting the hang of it…I think. I played on a TDM Killhouse map last night and tonight to start off with. I’m thinking if I play on a FFA server it will help me with speed because speed is the key. Anyone can camp and get kills all day but I want to be able to rush with my sniper rifle and actually be deadly with it in S&D matches.

If you want to see some good sniping, go into a promod server and watch some of those guys snipe. Granted some of them are probably hacking, but most of them are legit and very good. I really enjoy watching a really good sniper do their thing.

Here is my video I made last night and tonight, I’ll make another one in a few weeks probably.

Oh BTW, you may see me in game I use the name “Barry” or “b34nz” and usually play in S&D servers.
My xfire is barry4, feel free to add me.

UPDATE: Here is the thread. Someone else even comes in and tries to tell them they ban a bit too fast and names off other people they banned for no reason.

dlphpSo have you ever been banned from a server for hacking? Some of you have probably been banned for hacking because you were hacking, but it’s a different story when you weren’t actually hacking.

It’s a weird feeling, at first you’re angry and pissed off. After 20min or so you get a nice feeling because you were playing so good they actually thought you must have been cheating, there really is no better compliment in a video game than being banned for hacking when in fact you were not hacking.

I haven’t been banned form a server for a couple months like this, it’s almost nice for a change. I wasn’t even angry or rude in the thread I made on the clans site until some needle dick came in running his mouth and being rude, then I went ahead and let them have it. [picture contains NSFW words]

The clan in question is [CAg] which I thought was a decent clan. I notice them in many of the S&D servers I visit so I really didn’t expect this, figured they wouldn’t be this noobish.

So there it is, I just wanted to publicly vent. Not a big deal, I can find a different server to play on but I did like the server. It was a SC S&D server with killcam and a decent map rotation. I’m actually looking for a new “home” server, I play on NoBS server a lot and they’re cool people, decent map rotation, but I want to find a server where the players are mostly all better than me. You can’t get better unless you play with people who are better than you. Unfortunately I’m in a weird spot and it’s starting to look like my only option is a ProMod server which I really am trying to hold off on. ProMod is OK but the people who play there take the shit WAY seriously, I kind of like a more laid back environment.

I am trying to work with the |mele| clan as we speak to find our own server. I am offering a blogroll link on both this site and modernwarfare2.net in exchange for a free COD4 server. INX Gaming gave us a server but it was in the UK and our pings were horrible so we had to scrap the deal. If anyone knows of a U.S. based game server host that wants an awesome link in exchange let them know about me, or let me know about them. These two sites get well over 200k unique visitors per month of highly targeted traffic.

This October comes the challenge of Modern Warfare and Battlefield: Bad Company. Medal of Honor of Electronic Arts is being released on October 12 and it will challenge both the games for the top spot in the FPS genre.

Last week at E3 gaming event the stills and multi-player footage were released. The footage bound to bring comparison with the MW2 and BBC2.

The styles of the game is similar to the MW2 and BBC2, but MoH appears to concentrate on points and not focus on kills as MW2 does.

Below is the footage of Medal of Honor:
