If you want a bit of more out of your Modern Warfare 2 action then here is one of the good answers. Recently Infinity Ward announced that they are very near to the release date of their latest downloadable content.

Robert Bowling “FourZero Two”, the community man of Infinity Ward had few meetings a day before and he said in the meeting that the coveted content of the game is on its work and they will be soon unveiling it.

On the Twitter he Tweeted, “Lots of #MW2 DLC related meetings today, which is a good thing. Means we’re oh so close to nailing down a date and locking down details!!”

So most of us had the feeling the release date was going to be 11.10.09 because some game dealers had the release date set last month, but nobody knew if it was the retailer trolling COD fans, a slip up by the sites webmaster, or an intentional leak by IW to create buzz. The same thing actually happen with COD5 and, like this time, it too turned out to be the correct release date.

So anyway, the date has been confirmed and they have released a trailer, the trailer defiantly leaves the viewer hungry for more which is a bad thing for us and a good thing for IW. You may watch the trailer here. If you pause at specific areas you can kind of make out some stuff, I definitely noticed either a tank or maybe the back end of a helicopter…so sad that I put this much viewing effort into this. Here are some screens:

Someone on the forum pointed out this page from an online retail store, they have the release date set at November 13th 2009

Is it just me or do I remember this exact same thing happening with the WaW release date? And if I’m correct, is this the same retailer that did this release date leaking with WaW? And finally, and most importantly, when they “leaked” the release date for WaW, was the retailer correct in the end or wrong?

Electronic Arts (EA) been throwing punches at Modern Warfare 2 for sometime claiming that the new Battlefield: Bad Company from the DICE studio would have dedicated servers for the PC gamers. It will be valuing the importance of PC gameplay and also customization of it.

Jens Uwe, headmaster of the European division of EA, said in an interview on Friday, “In March we will launch Battlefield: Bad Company 2, which is our first strong attack on Call Of Duty… The shooter space is one we don’t want to give up. It’s an important genre and we were the number one. So we are certainly working on how we can get that crown back and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is an important product in that context.”

One who has played first Bad Company as well as the Modern Warfare titles may be knowing well that the games are very different in style and also in gunplay. We may also have found out that DICE is on the way of making some changes in it such as making the enemies more easier to kill to fall in line.
