Call of Duty has always been known for its slight tweak’s to realism. We all know this. At least it for those gamers who have played the previous games. It says about a heroic journey of a soldier. Modern Warfare was a bit different than the other Call of Duty games. It took this slight tweak and developed it in a huge way by creating one of the best games that any console has ever seen in past few years in the gaming industry on the global platform.

The Modern Warfare is back now with the recent hits such as Killzone 2. Vince Zampella from Infinity Wart lately told to the media, the official magazine of PlayStation that they are going for authenticity and not realism. He said that they are not making a sim, but they are making entertainment. According to him, they want it to look real like that of an action movie.

Zampella also mentioned that they are well aware of the fact that that action movies look good, but they are many times way off from the true thing.

He said that Modern Warefare 2 will be looking to do the same thing. He also said that there is not any mandate that every level has to be a wide open sandbox.

The most awaited game in the history of video games is Infinity Ward’s COD6 and the final touch of it is in full swing at the developers end. They are working dedicatedly and sincerely on this game also known as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (MW2). Activision has already launched a teaser web site of the game along with a teaser trailer and also logo. Brand manager Simon Wells said in a press brief recently that it is expected this game will become the highest selling in the history of video games.

The game is going to be launched on November 10th this year and such statement of Simon Wells comes when the NPD group released a sales report of video games that the March revenues for the video game industry has dropped by 17% as compared to last year.

CEO of Infinity Ward, Vince Zampella, said to the media on the MW2 that no detail is too small for the Infinity Ward and every imaginable finishing touch is on the way to make COD6 to be the best ever game till date. He also added further that he cannot make the fans world wide to wait further after November 10th to play it.

Modern Warfare 2 launching pad November 10

At the Game Developers Conference last week, the developer and publisher of Modern Warefare 2 unveiled a short trailer of the game. Modern Warefare 2 is the official title of the game announced. The developers have dropped the tag of Call of Duty.

Electronic Arts (EA) been throwing punches at Modern Warfare 2 for sometime claiming that the new Battlefield: Bad Company from the DICE studio would have dedicated servers for the PC gamers. It will be valuing the importance of PC gameplay and also customization of it.

Jens Uwe, headmaster of the European division of EA, said in an interview on Friday, “In March we will launch Battlefield: Bad Company 2, which is our first strong attack on Call Of Duty… The shooter space is one we don’t want to give up. It’s an important genre and we were the number one. So we are certainly working on how we can get that crown back and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is an important product in that context.”

One who has played first Bad Company as well as the Modern Warfare titles may be knowing well that the games are very different in style and also in gunplay. We may also have found out that DICE is on the way of making some changes in it such as making the enemies more easier to kill to fall in line.
